And then I took a break

                 to think before these pages speak

I needed to assure myself,

               steady my pen before it should fall

                I lived and I loved and I fell and rose

                    then above all, I lived in this death

                        and as I lived I learned another's life

                              learned of lines, and of crossing them, and of love;

                                  hurricanes that blast away a soul

                                          and nothing here written,

                                                  is set in stone
