I Feel Stuck
I feel stuck
I feel as though
I have nowhere to go,
Nothing to do,
And nothing to say.
I don’t want to be
Some great change-maker
Or the next Greta Thunberg,
Starting a global movement in my teens
Yet I also want to
Do more and
Actually fo something
With my life
I want to smile,
Help others,
And not be so
Utterly tragic.
“Have hope,”
They say,
As if we are
Not facing war,
A pandemic,
And a climate crisis.
I know how
Depressingly gray
I am making
Life seem,
But I feel as though
I am David facing
One million Goliaths,
But I only have one stone.
I am stuck
And feel as though
I cannot do anything
To fix this mess
Which has been
Thrusted upon me.
I feel as though
I am stuck
And no one is
Coming to help me.
