silence is dripping from their lips
the crowd’s expectant eyes
look up with anticipation
they are aware of what’s around them
more importantly,
aware of what lies within
silence is burning their skin
alighting their mind with realization
in their mind, the loud static is sin
they are the population, the representation
understanding lies in their eyes
which sparkle like fireflies
glinting in the sticky heat of the sun
they do not look for comfort in noise
the world around them holds none
they scream with their silence
begging you not to look for comfort in noise
with silence there will be more joys
the faces are painted with unbreakable poise
because they know, their smiles are prouder
can you hear their flourishing silence?
it is getting louder

Thanks, my inspiration for this were the movements and protests which all function on vows of silence as opposed to the screaming and shouting for some.
