I Don't Want to Be Your Friend
I am sorry, but to be absolutely frank,
I don’t want to be your friend.
I see you be oblivious to your wrongdoings,
I hear how you continue to formulate elaborate excuses.
You claim you want to have your transgressions highlighted,
Yet, you make no effort to learn from your altercations.
You fatigue me with your lies that you desire to flourish in character.
You bore me with your empty promises of acting spoiled no more.
I hope one day that you realize how you continue to hurt those around you,
And I hope you are at the point one day here you don't need to break others down to raise yourself up.
I don’t want to be harsh, but I feel I need to set this boundary,
But, I don’t want you to be your friend.
