"I don't want other people to decide who I am, I want to decide that for myself." ~Emma Watson

What do you do

With a wound

When you have no thread to stitch it up

Pockets empty

Empty from the inside

And a needle that is rusted

Which will only worsen the infection

Until there is no skin over it

But an abyss as dark as your soul

As deep as the well you’ve allowed to consume you

What do you use to stitch it over with?

Where do you marry the needle to the skin?

The author's comments:

Written probably after another impulsive episode. Inspired by the roleplay in front of the mirror. Yes, you can always stitch up the holes but what if you don’t have the materials?

I do not often revisit my works to review and edit. I want to preserve the initial atmosphere, tone, character and life of the moment. I fear I will not be able to return to such moments upon revisiting and recapture what was in the past I had attempted to keep sack.

Thus, there are inevitable imperfections left by the human who was in the flow of the moment; before they left her again.
