Colors of a Forever
I. Green:
Once, a Child dreamed.
Fluid, flowing, malleable dreams.
Sweeping willow trees whooshing at the wind,
Emerald wind chimes clinking at the doorway,
Pitter-patter of warm rain,
Choruses of cicadas,
Fish swimming through moss-filled water,
Shades of an innocent, pure world.
Perched at the edge of the universe.
Green scents of childhood, unforgotten.
II. Silver:
Shimmering silver forms, bubbling into amorphous forms, resembling human figures
"Was it difficult? Living through it all?"
Sounds traveling through space-time, filtered through the galaxies,
"Did you...ever regret?"
Melodic music flowing through the cracks, threatening to overflow,
"I understand."
Frequencies and wavelengths unknown to this era, bending keys and tones,
"My family...did we carry our blood well? Did I do well? Who am I? What am I?"
A satisfied note, striking the final chord.
Would I find peace?
III. Red:
What will you remember? What did you forget?
Smoke. Heat. Dancing flames.
Submerged underneath the shadows. Darkness. Emptiness.
Was there more?
Hands imprinted upon my neck. Sinking me deeper. Cold. Still.
Smoke. Heat. Dancing flames.
"Was I to blame?"; Crackling of fire. Would they take me?
Crimson, scarlet, ruby. Fire? Flesh? Blood?
Smoke. Heat. Dancing flames.
I don't want to remember.
IV. Black
The shadowed words that leave their throats
Agony tearing at their forms, twisting at their limbs
Silence
I was taught to only see black and white.
Colors were wrong,
Colors were other,
Colors were evil,
Yet white light is made of colors,
Shades leaking in from alternate planes.
Scarlet, Lavender, Sapphire, Emerald, Tangerine, Alabaster, Indigo, Fuschia and more...
And when the prism was finally brought to me,
I finally saw.
V. Rainbow
Reds, violets, greens,
Fantasies of magic, unlimited dreams.
Bleeding hues into worlds unknown,
Worlds of color, some feeling of home.
Shimmering silver forms, bubbling into amorphous forms, resembling human figures,
Colors of a forever, memories of joyous pasts.
Blacks, whites, colorless blank pages,
Light stolen away to be put in cages.
Smoke. Heat. Dancing flames.
Would they take him?
Would he find peace?
Unknown enemies, lying in wait,
Faceless ghouls lurk behind every surface.
Submerged underneath the shadows. Darkness. Emptiness.
Colors of a forever, a present of desolation.
Striking saffrons, vivacious vermillions, anything in between,
Shades leaking from alternate planes,
Inky pigments exploding out from times and places.
Have I found peace?
Colors of a forever, a future of light.
