I think I love you 

and I’m not sure how to feel about that

Your body and words and touch consume my mind

But it scares me

I've never met another person

that clouds my vision like you do

I think about how you brush the hair 

from your eyes and I think about 

when you do the same to mine

I think about the way you speak

and the easy rhythm we have

I want to tell myself 

that when you screw up 

You didn’t mean it, it wasn’t your intent

I observe, maybe even study,

 the battle between loving you

and holding you accountable

The accountability side is losing

and I’m not sure how I feel about it,

but I think I love you.
