Guardians of the Forest
They stand unwavering,
Dwarfing all life.
Their majestic bodies,
The color of earthen clay.
Fountains of wisdom,
They are hardened by the past.
Each wrinkle,
A souvenir from battles over time.
Exuding regality,
They command the forest with authority.
Their everlasting regin,
Longer than the Bourbon Kings.
They are the Redwood Trees,
Soldiers of Time,
Purveyors of Wisdom,
Guardians of the Forest.
This poem is dedicated to Redwood trees and their magnificence. Their astonishing abilities protect, not just themselves, but the forest as well.
