My Sleep Schedule
September is drawing closer
And I still can’t find closure
Summer seemed to go so fast
The time for freedom and relaxation is past
Waking up is hard to do when you go to bed at 2
I can’t fall asleep til late so I wait
Maybe I over exaggerate
It’s more like 11
When I find myself in sleep, in heaven
Mind whirring, worries forming
The nervous feeling won’t dissipate
Those are future me’s problems
I check the clock once, then twice
My thoughts are my vice
I slow my breathing, in and out
Until my eyes grow heavy
My head feels light
Then I crash
Wake up just to relive the same day
Bones cracking, eyes blurry
This is how school will mess me up until May
