As Thou Approacheth Death
Fought, hast thou
During thy life
But here we are now
After a long exhausting strife
Thine candle of life blowing out
Leaving more darkness than light
Which is inevitably without a doubt
Chasing out delight
Art thou ready for the life after death?
To meet Him at His kingdom
After thy last breath
Which will lead thee to thine bondage or freedom?
Wilt thy last words be of meaning to many?
And thy life be an example of good?
Rather than someone who pinched tightly on every penny?
So that your remembrance will stay stood?
This is a poem that I wrote while imagining what death might be like. It's not much, but I tried my best to insert depth and inner thoughts throughout this short poem.
