the couch where i would text you for hours

my room where we’d facetime and rant

the kitchen where i always pictured you meeting my mom

my backyard where you’d see my cats

 


these are my reminders of you

they were once treasured

now they leave me haunted

 


the couch where i watch our favorite movie

my room where i cry myself to sleep almost every night

the kitchen where i imagine what i’d say to you now

my backyard where i go when i need some air

they won’t go away

you won’t go away

you haunt me every night and day
