you are fighting for freedom

loving me, hating me

letting me paint storm clouds over your silver linings

 

i am fighting for my life

regretting you, regretting me

letting the armor fall in the dark

 

that bruised purple sky and our violet shadows

reflected on the concrete where we said goodbye
