Confession
The lighting sets the scene
The gleam in his eyes is all I see
Is it the light or the bright shining night?
I'm holding back with all my might
How can one be so perfect?
Hurt as he smiles at her name
To the thoughts, I try to tame
Scream with utmost desire
Now, I'm getting dire
This is your chance, speak
As I start to feel weak
I utter in a small voice
He leans in a way so poise
"For you, I'd risk it all"
"For you, my heart did fall."
His lips curl into a smile
As we stood there for a while
Then he finally spoke
I finally awoke
"When I missed you I looked at the moon"
Adrift I ask, as a smile starts to unmask
"Bright, beautiful and out of reach..."
