Pandemic
The pandemic hit us hard, it's true
Our lives were flipped, our plans askew
No more classrooms, no more friends
Our world was turned upside down, it never ends
We traded lockers for our rooms
Our schedules changed, our days consumed
With screens and Zoom and online classes
We missed the halls, the laughs, the masses
No prom, no dances, no football games
Our high school years will never be the same
But we found ways to stay connected
To keep our spirits high, our hearts protected
We learned to adapt, to be resilient
To find joy in the midst of this confinement
Our lives may be different, but we're still strong
And we'll keep pushing through, no matter how long
