The End
Walking down the empty hall
To afraid to return to the crying
The wailing
But there's no escaping it
Peering into other rooms
Some already defeated
Standing over the passed
Peaceful, resting, cold
Some still waiting
For the end
Holding hands whispering into ears
Still holding breathes, waiting
The hall is long
White tills coat all
Cold white lights
No windows
Doctors rushing by
Breathing machines in their hands
Nurses in their wake
Scribbling fast on clipboards
I don’t want to return
But the hall is ending
And I must return to his end
Before the end
End of the hall
