Summer
A time we have all waited for
Our seasonal depression disappears
Everyone is brighter and happier
Because summer is here
Cement burning underneath our feet
Sneezing from the pollen and fresh air
Grass showing off the brightest green
The sky painted with a blue so clear
Lakes asking to be swam in
Skin yelling for sunny rays
Mouths drooling for ice cold popsicles
Eyes squinting for it’s so bright
A time of joy and happiness
Saying goodbye to winter blues
A time where we can feel free
Like the birds in the sky
A time to come together
With our family and friends
A time to create memories
That last a lifetime and more
