Making my breakfast in the morning

I decided to make an avocado toast

The brown oval pit was bothering me

Instead of a spoon I grabbed a knife

I tapped the knife with the pit and it didn't work

I proceeded to stab the pit with the knife

MY AVOCADO SLIPPED

It dropped on the floor

The knife went splat

It ended in my hand

I pulled it out

GUSH GUSH GUSH

The red pool of lava squirted out of my hand

GUSH GUSH GUSH for eight hours straight

Open wound gushing out lava

Losing the feeling in my hand

Finally losing my feeling in my middle finger

Bloody bandages

Bloody wounds

I will more careful next time

The author's comments:

I started to explore my writing side during my freshman year of high school. I began to write stories about my life and short stories about things I've experienced. I always try to make time for writing at least everyday. I have a whole collection of short stories about my family and things that have happened in the past. Writing gives me a sense of creativity and freedom of being able to write anything I want. I love that I'm able to express myself, my life, and my feelings through writing.
