You made me feel as though 

I'd been left out in the sun for too long. 

You drained me until I was just a pile of bones.

I had to deal with the mess you left, 

The mess you made when you tried to fix me. 

You left me in a condition worse for wear, 

And now I'm happiest when I'm sad.

You told me I took more than what I gave

And I believed you. 

Then again I trusted everything you said at one point. 

I could say it was raining, 

And without hesitation, 

You would say the sun was out. 

Though it was definitely not the prettiest, 

I still loved it for what it was, 

Not for what you tried, and failed, to make it.
