So many words
Is the world ever silent?
Oh, how I crave that sweet release
Where I can just sink into a world in which
I don’t really exist.
Yet, neurons keep firing.
What did you eat today?
Did you unplug your heater?
Did you turn in your homework?
Did you?
DID you?
DID YOU?
SHUT UP!!!
Just free me from these earthly tethers of
Words

I am in a creative writing class, and this piece came from one of my journal shares. I was supposed to write about what I think of before I go to sleep, and I think of way too much before I sleep.
