We need it too
In the darkest depths, a whispered plea,
A soul in anguish, longing to be free.
But let us shine a light, extend our hand,
To offer hope and help them understand.
Through open hearts, let empathy bloom,
A sanctuary where shadows find room.
Together we'll break the silence, break the chain,
For every life is precious, worth the strain.
Spread understanding, erase the shame,
Let compassion be the spark that reclaims.
In unity, we'll build a bridge of care,
To remind them they are not alone in despair.
So let us listen, embrace their pain,
And show them love can wash away the stain.
For in awareness, we'll save lives anew,
And bring a glimmer of hope to shine through.

Dear Teen Ink Editors:
I have included my poem for your consideration: "We need it too" I think this poem fits well with the ones I have read from the website as it takes on issues that many teenagers struggle with while trying to shine a light on the problem.
If you are so kind as to accept my work, it would be my first publication.
Sincerely,
Sawyer Eiden
