Window to the Soul
Eyes,
Bright eyes,
They sparkle in my own,
Reflecting each other eternally,
Fabricating my gratitude for the light above me.
My gaze locks another's,
My selfish exchange,
I soak in their glory,
A gleaming story that I read from,
A window to their hollow void,
A fracture on their untouchable form-
They make me hope,
Crease my brow with their magic,
Infatuated with ocular static.
I preach the sight mine give me,
A gift received so that I may view another's,
Contrite with the brightness that I emit,
The remorse that I feel when I fail to reflect,
Your eminence.
