Another Day
Despite the call of death
Ignorance was used in the light of living
A deepened hole
Filled with wrongings and pain
The whisper to end what hasn’t begun
The corrupted views of black and white
Unable to see through colored grays
A perfect line
Messed up by purpose
The shaken mask of bittersweet fate
The lying one
Afraid to come clean
Entwined in another
Wished to stay again
The step towards ending
Pulled back by another
A call of desperation
Built off blinding light
“Not yet”
It calls, through mellowed lines
“Not like this”
Another begins
Voices of hope
Brought light to another
One step forward
Three steps back
Atop the ledge no longer
Clinging onto words of truth
It’s okay to not understand
It’s okay to not love another
It’s okay to be different
It’s okay, to not be okay.
Another letter, left unbothered
The pain in holds, purified by another
It’s okay to keep going
The light still shines
Even in the darkest night
There still is hope
You don’t have to be alone.
A new day flourishes with you
Not without
Welcome home,
It doesn’t have to be perfect-
But nothing truly does.
You aren’t alone
Never forget.
