They Told Me to Fake it Till I Make it so I'm Faking My Breath
Cause they all said I'd do something amazing someday
And I don't think I could live life without it being that way
But sometimes I wonder what keeps me going through all the thunder and rain
What keeps me going through all the burning pain
I’m pushing through
Persevering too
Following an invisible rope up an unclimbable mountain
Faking promises and smiles to conceal my dark eyed mess
Life is the hardest test
And I haven't studied
Or slept a wink
I'll never pass
But that's ok cause you know what they say
Fake it till you make it
When your at the top don't stop and never look down
Well now I've been climbing for so damn long
I've lost myself
Climbed so high haven't stopped to breath
Now I'm at the top realizing
I'm suffocating

I write poetry to cope with my emotions. I write my poems fast, whatever comes out of my mind in the moment. Most of my poems are messy when I first write them. This poem is a bit more straightforward and captures how I felt accurately. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
