Sounds
In the tunnel
beyond a graveyard
drift the formless shapes of my words,
unceasing
in their flightless resolve.
Sinking
through the empty cracks
in the sidewalk
They lie beneath your space
in the backseat
each plea dissolved,
echoed
by the static
Knelt before the altar
of a long waiting,
ruins of girlhood
to float within the idle winds,
downstream
to you.
