Fear
Fear
It hits you like a spear
Borrowing deep, deep, deep
People act like they understand
But there's no way they could ever explain what you are feeling
Whether you're scared of the dark or your friend is missing
We all feel fear
Just in different ways
There are clowns and monsters under your bed, but there's also your uncle dying or your upcoming surgery
People fear the future, the past, and the present
You could be scared about what's coming next
You could be scared about what is happening right now
You could get scared by a memory of what happened then
Fear is everywhere
You can't stop it
But you can embrace it.
Like when you are in an alley and a man is following you
Fear tells you to be alert
Or when a fire alarm goes off
Fear tells you to get out
There can't be calm without fear

During this time I was very scared, writing this made me happy because I realized fear is just your body protecting you.
