There Are Many Things She Cares About
There are many things she cares about.
She cares about her grades,
her transcript,
her extracurriculars,
her sports credit,
and all the competition she attends,
her wins and her losses.
She cares about her handwriting,
her poems,
the comments that her teachers give her,
how she talks in class,
how she acts around others.
She cares about the outfit she wears,
her hair and her body,
the daily makeup she would do,
to the very inch of her skin.
She cares about her personality,
her image,
online and real life.
What they don't know is,
she also cares about the air and the land,
the wind and the water,
the first breeze she feels when she walks out of her dorm every morning,
the sweat dripping from her tinted lips when she's dancing,
the words floating across her head when she's writing,
the icy drenched water in the swimming pool,
the childish laugh she would make in her friends' games,
the silence she would hold when she's reading a book,
the tears swirling down her cheeks during a movie,
the pair of eyes that shines seeing her birthday gifts,
the gentle hands that hugs a teddy bear in her sleep,
the blood in her veins when she's just free.
There are so many things she cares about,
but they just don't see.
She lives in their eyes.
Mouth.
Dreams.
She doesn't know,
She doesn't care.
Because she cares,
too many many things.
