If God is good, why do I hurt?

If I am his kid, why am I dirt?

If he is perfect, why aren’t I?

If this, If that, If me, Oh my!

Why, Why, Why?

If God is good, why am I starving?

If I am his kid, why am I harming?

If he is perfect, why do I lie?

If then, If now, If here, I’ll cry!

Why, Why, Why?

But ‘Why?’ is the wrong question dear,

Listen up please, IF you’ll hear.

‘If’ is concerning, unneeded, no doubt.

You can cry all day, and fight, and pout

But ‘If’ is what the problems’ about

There is no If, it’s true and bright.

No need to question, no need to fight.

Cause God is good, and life is hard

That’s the point, he is our ward.

So please don’t get caught off guard.

God is good and I still hurt.

I’m his kid that came from dirt.

He is perfect, I am not.

Life is hard and filled with snot.

People are crazy, so am I.

But we can help each other try

To follow him and walk by faith.

Stand firm with me and be a staith.

There’s no if when God’s involved,

He could snap and problem solved.

We have free will to choose our way,

With him we choose to stay or stray.

So make your choice to ask the ‘why?’

Or stay with him and choose to Try.

Don’t cry and say, “if this, if that,”

Cause there’s no if while God’s at bat.
