Dreaming
Seeing those other places
Within worlds inside our dreams
Tied with twine and white laces
And o’er splintered, broken beams.
Like flying over seas
With colors a deep blue
Feeling the lofty breeze
In worlds you never knew.
Like crawling through low chasms
Through places deep and dark.
Some words from gaunt phantasms
A voice to which you hark.
Sleeping under the blinking stars
In the recesses of your mind
Up in space far above red Mars
Lies a new world you soon will find.
