The dark sky the quiet city

                                 The bright field lights 

                           The smell of our leather gloves  

                              The seams of the baseball 

                                The crisp cool spring air 

                                The wooden bats crack

The pop of the catcher's glove when the pitcher's fastball comes in  

                             The sound of the metal bat          

                                Our coach yelling at us 

                               The bad pre-game music 

                                     The brotherhood

                     The sound of the cleats on the concrete

               The wet grass from the sprinklers in the morning 

                           The smell of the batting cages 

                             This is my game baseball
