I Hate to Wait
Waiting, waiting, either standing or sitting
Makes time so much slower
Like looking but never finding
Searching for something that doesn’t exist
Everyone else is accomplishing things
Building and making and shaping the world
And I'm still stuck waiting. For what? Who knows
Time passes without me,
And I’m still waiting
Wondering what else I could be doing
Waiting is like living in the past
Waiting is like living but not doing
Waiting for time to run out
Waiting is like using all your time for nothing
Waiting is like being blind to the world
And the cycle repeats over and over again
Waiting is like wasting your life
Waiting is like having no more time
Waiting is like having nothing inside,
Time is fleeting, light is fading
And I’m still stuck here waiting.
