Once when I was a little younger,

I made a large diorama out of clay and trash.

I could see the clay all around and in my hands,

the paints sitting off to the side, next to the little trees I made

out of toothpicks and little wooden sticks

that my mom helped me create

I could smell the damp modeling clay and spray paint

I could hear the clay

Squishing between my hands like thick mud

Mushing slowly as I move it and sculpt it

I could feel the clay

As my fingers squished and stretched the clay

Like a little kid with playdough

I could taste the spray paint particles in the air,

And finally, it was done,

Clay deserts and hills

Trees, and gaps between clay lands

Painted blue like rivers

And then, the dinosaurs and creatures

That would inhabit the man made lands

That brought it to life,

A t.rex hiding in the trees,

A herd of triceratops grazing,

A pack of raptors, running.
