Ode to Sports
You hear a black and white ball roll through the damp grass
You hear the orange ball swishing through the white net
You hear people panting and feet thumping.
You can feel mad and sad
But also you can feel happy and excited
Sports can make people feel enlightened.
Even when your team loses again and again
You will feel in your skin
You will soon have a win.
Sports make me feel like I’m on a rollercoaster
There are high points and low points.
sThank you for teaching me responsibility, teamwork, and the capability to Support people
Thank you for teaching me winning and losing
Thank you sports.
