When Sadness Takes Hold

I know it's tough, when sadness takes hold,

But trust me, my friend, you're stronger than you're told.

Through tear-stained days and nights so long,

You'll find the strength to rise and carry on.

The weight of sadness, oh, it can be so heavy,

But remember, my dear, you're tough and steady.

Hold on to hope, let it be your guiding light,

For in the darkest moments, it'll shine so bright.

Take small steps forward, one at a time,

And slowly, you'll see the sadness begin to unwind.

Seek comfort in the things that bring you joy,

Let laughter and love be your heart's envoy.

Surround yourself with those who lift you high,

Whose presence brings comfort, who wipe tears from your eye.

Embrace the healing power of self-care,

Nurture your soul, let it breathe in fresh air.

And as days pass by, you'll start to find,

That the sadness begins to lose its bind.

You'll discover strength you never knew,

And realize the power that lies within you.

So hold on, and keep moving ahead,

For the sun will rise, painting your world in hues of red.

Sadness may visit, but it won't stay forever,

You'll overcome, my friend, and find joy in each endeavor.

I went through some explainable things and fell into a deep pool of sadness, but I was able to find my way out of it. I wrote this poem to help other people like me be able to find their way out as well.
