Just Being 'Honest'
It's always “mental health matters,”
and “put yourself first,”
until you can't finish any of your work.
Until you don't have the strength to get out of bed.
Then once you do, you find yourself falling again,
but you're just lazy and it's “all in your head.”
“Maybe if you worked harder you would get better grades,”
but no one seems to see the work you gave.
When you try your hardest, yet it's still not enough,
no one seems to care about any of this stuff.
It just sounds so stupid coming from you.
Especially when you were the one
that helped me learn to tie my own shoe.
I thought we were a team,
but what does that even mean?
Don't get me started with the, “why are you in a bad mood?”
Do you ever think it's possibly because of you?
It could never be you though, you were just telling me the “truth.”
