Reflections
In the silence of my resolve, I shall not abide,
For silent agony and torment, I'll not confide.
Though urged to be quiet by norms , my actions won't subside,
For societal "peace," my spirit won't be tied.
No rebellion brews, yet dissent shall reside,
When tranquil pleas clash with my truth, side by side.
Mistakes, I'll make, tears shed, I won't hide,
In the depths of despair, I may briefly reside.
But from the bed of despondency, I'll rise, undenied,
As time flows onward, my essence amplified.
Yet beneath the guise of tranquility, I won't reside,
For societal bonds, respect shall be my guide.
They glimpsed my surface, yet deeper truths denied,
Their words echo hollow, "I'll let you live," implied.
Yet whose peace truly thrives when veils are untied?
Five years hence, all may seem well, but secrets inside abide.

My name is Vidhushi Thakur, a fourteen-year-old budding poet and artist with a keen interest in bookstagram novels. I embarked on my poetry journey just three months ago, in April 2024. Alongside writing, I actively participate in debating and public speaking events whenever possible. I once tried dancing for an event and secured the first position.
I found solace in novels and poetry due to profound loneliness. My aspiration is to cultivate a community for individuals like myself and inspire others to pursue endeavors they've been putting off. I thoroughly enjoy making new connections, helping others, and engaging in spontaneous deep conversations from time to time.
My debut poem delves into societal norms regarding choosing peace over logical debate. I've also expressed my views on topics such as inner motivation and overcoming challenges, with a special focus on teenage mental health.
I am still pondering the question, "Could I be enlightened about what I've done wrong in this journey called life?"
Let's grow together on this journey towards self-sufficiency and cultivate healthy, positive detachment.
With best of regards, love and hopes
