Running,

Spirting,

Racing

For the finish line

I play fair

As others push and shove

Praised as they watch others

Fall

A boy grabs my shoe

Asking

Praying

Hoping

For help

I turn

As others whip by

Reaching down to offer my hand

The boy 

Grabs,

Smiles,

Pulls

Me to the ground

I sit in silence

He is miles ahead by now

I'm still stuck

Falling,

Believing,

Hoping

People have changed

But I fall for the 

Same trick every time

My help is 

Taken for granted

Why does no one help

Me from the ground

As I do others

I'm stuck

Wishing

That I could be different

When I help others, I don't expect much in return besides kindness, but sometimes this is a cruel world. I get pushed to the side or am used as a step in the game of life.
