The Definition of Blue
September 8, 2009
Soaring through the air
Like I can touch the sky
Happiness is blue
Looking at myself
With tears in my eyes
Sadness is blue
Rolling crashing waves of the sea
In their eternal dance
Movement is blue
The sky without a cloud
Without a bird without a sound
Stillness is blue
The splitting of the sea
The change at sunset
Dark from light
Miracles are blue

This was great! My favorite stanza of was the third one; it's so easy to put an emotion to a color but I never really thought of blue being movement, and how you said that the rolling crashing waves of the see were in an eternal dance, it was, well, poetic. :)

the title is brilliant. if i were you, i would include different shades of blue in the poem, like turquoise, azul, etc...idk, whatever you like, but this poem makes me feel like soaring. :) good job!
