Two speakers speaking
To the depths of my soul
As it revels in smooth jazz
And old rock and roll
Listening for hours
Is worth my while
It’s music, and I abuse it
With a twist of the dial

Days like this
Cruel and toxic days like this
I want to get naked
And make love to the radio

‘Cause it gives me what I want

I’m done with dreams and delusions
They’re just nightly intrusions
And boys with big eyes
Can never really see
What’s going on
Beyond watercolor landscapes
That run into ruin

The radio
Is heaven
Stereos laced with nirvana
Sound waves are warm caves
Of bliss
Gritty voices and hard choices
I don’t have to make
Jam sessions flow
They come and they go
But I stay
And I pray
For the next song
A new god
And I know

This thing won’t desert me
It’s the radio.

I LOVE this poem. People should make love to their music more often. It never lets you down :) (And Nirvana is an awesome band!)
