Garden of Innocence
All girls are flowers,
Resplendent and charming, young and headstrong;
Heedless to the words of careful tenders called mothers.
Raised from the virtues of family soil; innocence blinds right from wrong.
Girls’ affections are easily misplaced when seduced by lovers’ gentle whispers.
Suitors fall in line as bees swarm to flowers for a sticky, sweet kiss.
But daughters take caution, once men cut the ties of stem from root,
Nothing changed can return to its former splendors.
I hear you grief, love struck and wanting to leave,
You say “what garden be this, to end all thoughts of lustful bliss?”
Hush; take care as your red stained petals unfold,
For men have groped in darkness solely to find this garden of innocence,
Perverting the soil; planting avaricious weeds with filthy hands.
This despicable raper watches as you suffocate, beginning to wither away,
You scream as he blindfolds you, praying to be saved, to be left untouched and unashamed.
Coarse hands molest the fragile still blooming petals,
Rancid mouth consumes the essence, the nectar of your beauty.
Inside the mind rebels, whilst unwanted caresses face no quarrels.
This incorrigible crime leaves but a wilting ghost, a whore bought cheaply,
All girls are flowers
