Touching Tinted Lives
Lives pass by through windows,
Through colored panes of glass.
Close enough to touch,
They race and stroll on past.
They’re all on separate levels,
On different, jagged planes.
We see them move like silhouettes,
And spread like darkened stains.
We watch a million lives or more
While our own pass us by.
Intent on taking in the view,
Sometimes we neglect to try
Breaking through the colored panes,
And cracking self-made walls,
So we can reach, and hear, and touch
The tinted lives of all.

This is really deep. I love the metaphor, and the description. It's simply.... touching. Great job!
