Dear Reader,
I ache to feel the smooth release
Of my pen as it reaches out
Toward paper, toward you
A perfect union as it rests
Between my fingers like jewelry
Like a ring or loose bracelet
It makes my image worthy
Of eyes that long to graze for
New ideas for a first impression
As you read my words with new eyes
I wonder if you'll feel my breath
Run down your skin like icy rain
Or tousle your perfect hair like
The wind as it gasps for you
When you leave the comfort of home
Dear Reader,
I wonder if my words embrace
Your thoughts as I hug my pen
Or rather strangle it in order
To catch it off guard
To make it speak, I need to know
I need to see what it thinks
Please don't shut me out
I feel like a bookmark
I am smashed between words
Tossed around between voices
A conflicting battle in the dark
My words won't make it out alive
Without you, Dear Reader

Very nice!  I like it a lot.  Great choice of words and phrasing.  Captures the readers imagination and holds it.

Ah, a wonderfully written work, I'm sure! I, also, found it to be a slightly eerie selection of words. But I loved it all the same. You described your situation in the talented way that you do. I am filled with a similar reverence for the Reader.

This is amazing how passionate you are! I completely feel  the same way! Check out my work please.

Cool!

Although to some it may seem a bit creepy that you become so passionate about a stranger you will never know or see, I enjoyed it. It's nice that you reach out and think about the reader, whoever they may be, in a kind and positive way. I don't know if I felt your breath "run down my skin like icy rain" but it made me think about you, whoever you are, wherever you are. Guy? Girl? Hyper? Subdued? My age, older, younger? I wonder where you are and what you're doing - not because I'm a creeper but because your poem made me think about it.

Also, thanks for saying I have perfect hair.
