Ambition
Ambition,
a word that has seemingly become replaced by
perfection
Perfection is unrealistic
degrading
to the internal beauty that lay beneath
the pounds of makeup and fake tan
Black eye-lines,
fake hair,
90 pounds
of a cover girl
Anorexia,
insecurity
surgery
foreshadows of an emerging yearn for
acceptance
in modern day society
the struggle to find inner
tranquility
All woman are hypnotized
we are medias toys
They play with our minds
we are hurt
They play with our hearts
they become broken
Some believe perfection=satisfaction
will our hunger for flawlessness
external acceptance end?
We ARE perfect
We ARE beautiful
We ARE Independent
So why settle for being flawless when you can stride for accomplishment and pride
Accept flaws, aim for success not perfection.
