A fantasy with unicorns,
Prince Charming and fairy god mothers.
Deep inside those dreams, no sight of reality
you can be what you want to be,
what you dreamed of being:
Astronaut,
Rock star,
Princess.
Chase those days of you being a superstar
but beware to never loose sight of what you are.
Don’t be afraid of escaping
loosing yourself on a magic ride
a pony taking you inside
that enchanted castle
with an all you can eat buffet
and Brad Pitt waiting to say,
“Hey good looking”
Get lost in those dreams.
for some they may be all that’s left
to be a queen.
Life is no fairy tale.
I am just a high school girl
standing five foot three
but can’t you see
I’m really a princess,
that floats through musical notes
surrounded by puppies
piles of books as big as towers
and mountains of ice cream.
Life may be far from perfect,
But I’ll always have my dreams.
