Not Long Ago

As I walked with you along the beach
the air sprung up through the sand

and made me float.
As high as the kites and stars in heaven.
Not Long Ago

The Sparks flew from your eyes
as the car compacted around us

and made me hurt.
As wild as the kites and stars in heaven.
Not Long Ago

A waterfall gushed out from my ceiling
filling the sea of blues around me

and made me cry
As far away as the kites and stars in heaven.
Not Long Ago

Earth fell from my hands
down around a lonely hole

wishing I was down there with you
Up with the kites and stars in heaven.
