The Rain MAG
The rain fell
from the smoky
clouds and pattered
on the roof of our
heads like bird seed
thrown at a wedding
It pooled and
flooded down
the gutters of
hair flowing
in rushing queues
down our foreheads
droplet
by
droplet
Sauntering along
dark eyebrows
and clinging
for dear life
to the branches
of eyelashes
Kissing sweetly our
sunburned cheeks
rolling mechanically
like freshly oiled
cogs off the
cliff of our noses
droplet
by
droplet
It seeped into the
crags of lobster
red lips resting
before their swift
suicidal drop on
our spongy chins
Falling in an
acrobatic grace
landing in a final
theatrical plop
liquid hula hoop
rings growing

I love the part with the dark eyelashes... I thought it felt so impowering and so strong.
