I didn't realize what it meant at first,

It was all coming clear,
when he said it that day,
but not as much,
as I should say...

Then I met this boy,
who I desperately loved,
but I ran into a dilemma,
he barely knew my name.
everyday was no different.
He ignored me,
as I walked by,
and when I went to talk to him,
he'd leave me hanging,
with nothing to say.

At the prom,
I got up the courage,
to ask him to dance.
It took forever,
but I finally got a chance!
He answered no at first,
but then he said yes,
"If you do me one favor,

There were those words again!
that at first confused me so,
but after a life of wondering,
the meaning did finally show.

I finally understood the meaning,
of making a moment count:
Make sure you always come through,
and do what YOU want to do,
and to trust your heart,
because if you don't,
it may just be too late,
and you'll never know,
what could have happened,
but now that you know,
to make each moment count,
I guarantee you,
there will never be a time,
when you will ever miss out.
