What We Lost
We’re in the middle,
Of a late afternoon.
Listening to the ocean roars,
that always ends with sigh.
Waiting,
Knowing we’re close,
To finding the warriors of our lives.
Measuring what we lost,
Of love.
When it creeps in,
As a shadow,
That washes the room.
Then disappears,
Into the shouts of the sea.
