Yawn! Glittering water stings your eyes
Right when you wake up in the morning
From sleeping under hundreds of flying bats and stars
Shooting across the planetarium like night sky

Flip, Flip! The sound echoes off the gorge walls
As though it were out of ordinary to hear
Fish frequently flapping their tails right under the water surface
And seeing the light tide coming in, eating up the rock shore with light Slaps.

Getting up, you dip your toes in the icy cold aquatic liquid
That fills in all the area between canyon bottoms,
Thinking about how it has more shoreline than the U.S.A.’s east coast,
What a wonderful man made creation
