A word is just a word until you give it meaning.

Chitter chatter
Chitter chatter
Clink clink
Silence
The class has begun
The turn of a page
Whisper whisper
Hushhh
Fwip fwip
Papers passing
The soft scrape of markers, pens, pencils
Staring out the window
And waiting for the bell
Waiting….
That clock to tick faster
The teacher to let us out of her room
They try very hard to make it fun
And less stressful
But in the end
We all still work
Like a bunch of ants
It comes down to the homework being given
The excitement hung thick in the air
Briiiiiiiiing briiiiiiiing
The sound of freedom
The door slams open
And we are free once more.
