A Big Mistake

Walking in I see gowns galore
People stumble in behind me
No thoughts, no fears, no worries
I think of the consequences
As bottles of clear liquid emerge from purses
One sip, two sips, done
The music becomes louder
The guys begin to speak in slurred terms
Speaking of the shore, beers, and shots
Guys become closer to girls on the dance floor
Their mental state is worsening
“Get me out of here”
The lights begin to fade
The drinks are gone and the faces are happy
Until they begin to drive
The car crashes, the passenger screams
Prom night comes to an end!
I’m sorry I didn’t help.
